Upon starting the game, everyone must introduce themselves to someone else. Let’s say your name is Billy. You’d walk up to someone, shake his/her hand, and say, “My name is Jon.” The person I’m talking to would respond with his/her name, “My name is Emily.”
Here’s the catch: After you introduce yourself, your identity is gone. You now take the name Emily. So when you shake hands with someone else, you’d say, “My name is Emily.” The new person may respond, “My name is Lacey.” Now you’re Lacey and the other person is Emily.
Rounds: The round continues until one person receives their own name back twice. Remember, your name is Jon in this pretend game. If you shake hands with someone and he/she says, “My name is Jon,” then you’ve gotten your own name back. You try to do that two times. Then you win!
Ending the game: You can end the game when one person has successfully had his/her name said twice or until several people win.
You can have themed rounds of this game. Each student could choose an animal, Bible character, superhero, etc., and have to get that name said back twice. Make sure you don’t have several people with the same name – unless you want a really fast round.
