Set Up: Everyone is sitting or standing in a circle.
Instructions: The game play goes around the circle. One person starts the game by saying, “One.” The next person says, “Two,” and the game continues around the circle as people count.
Here’s the catch: The number seven is taboo. If someone says the number seven in any form (7, 17, 27, 77, 79, etc.), then the game must start over. When it’s your turn to count and you’re going to say something taboo, say BUZZ instead.
Object of the Game: The goal is to count as high as possible without saying the number seven. To add difficulty to this game, you can add in multiples of seven as taboo, too (i.e. 14, 35, 42). You can set a goal to reach a certain number – 50, for example.
Ending the Game: The game ends when the group reaches its goal or says a taboo number. You can restart the game as many times as you wish.
