Set Up: Prior to the game time, grab a random item. It can be a stapler, pen, paper, earring, anything. Have everyone sit or stand in a circle and put the object on the floor in the center of the circle.
Instructions: Everyone must stare at the object on the floor. No one can look around during the game. The moderator starts the game by counting, “One.”
Here’s the Catch: Someone else in the circle must say, “Two.” However, it can be anyone. If the person to the moderator’s left or right says “Two,” the game must start over. This rule applies to whoever spoke last. If two people say “two” at the same time, the game must start over.
Object of the game: The goal of the game is to count to 21 without anyone speaking at the same time or talking after someone next to them. Because everyone is staring at one place, no one can agree on who is saying what number.
End of game: When the groups successfully counts to 21, the game ends. Or, as is possible the first time you play, you may have to end the game without reaching the goal. It all depends on the time you have available.
